Travelling from the UK? A type O adaptor will allow you to connect your UK (type G) plugs to a type O socket.
For Use in: Thailand (3 Pin earthed).
Compatibility
Compatible with: Type O sockets only. Type C plugs (unearthed) are compatible with type O sockets. Type E & F plugs will also fit but will not make an earth connection which is unsafe. Hybrid sockets that will accept American type A and B plugs are common but beware as the voltage in Thailand is 230V.

A type O travel adaptor will convert your British (type G) plugs to a 3 pin (earthed) configuration that will fit the type O sockets found in Thailand. They do not convert the voltage or frequency of the electrical supply.

They are very common because it is the official Thai standard socket. Hybrid sockets that accept type A, B, C and O plugs are however very common.

No, universal adaptors do not have a type O plug.

Yes, they are cross compatible and can be used safely although the type C pins are slightly smaller than type O plugs (4mm vs 4.8mm). Type C plugs are 2 pin (unearthed) and are therefore not suitable for connecting earthed appliances.
