Travelling from the UK? A type I adaptor will allow you to connect your UK (type G) plugs to a type I socket.
For Use in: Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Argentina (2 Pin unearthed and 3 Pin earthed variants).

Variants
- 10A 2 blade unearthed (compatible with 3 pin earthed sockets)
- 10A 3 blade earthed
- 15A 3 blade earthed
- 20A 3 blade earthed
The 15A and 20A plugs have progressively wider blade configurationss (10A - 6.35mm (all blades), 15A - 9.08mm (earth blade only), 20A - 9.08mm (all blades)). Lower power plugs will fit higher power sockets but not vice versa. The standard 10A plug adaptors used by British travellers will fit all of the sockets.

Yes, 2 blade Type I plugs (unearthed) can be safely used in 3 blade earthed sockets. Modern Type I sockets have tamper resistant shutters which are designed to stop foreign objects from being inserted into the live or neutral slots. A 2 blade plug however can still be used as the shutters open when the 2 flat blades of the plug press on them simultaneously.

Yes, universal adaptors have a 2 blade (unearthed) type I plug, sometimes achieved by swivelling the blades of the type A plug. Earthed universal adaptors are available if required and these have a 3 blade type I plug, but they are less common.
